Journalist Catherine Madden, who since 2009 has been a regular contributor to the Australian Asbestos Network website, died on 1 December after a long and brave battle with breast cancer.
Her passion for asbestos awareness-raising in combination with her impressive skills as a writer and researcher resulted in a range of stories that have greatly enriched this website.
She was a valued colleague and friend and will be sorely missed.
